Capoeira Angola Palmares

The group Capoeira Angola Palmares was founded by Grande Mestre No in Salvador Bahia. Mestre Gulliver is a Master artist and teacher. He was certified as a Master Teacher by Grand Master No, the internationally renowned head of Grupo Capoeira Angola Palmares, who sent Mestre Gulliver to New York to head the NYC Academy. Under the tutelage of Mestre No; Mestre Gulliver has taught children and adults in the United States and worldwide for the past fifteen years. He frequently gives workshops on the history, culture and traditional practices of Capoeira Angola.

Mestre Gulliver is also an internationally recognized performance artist. He has represented Capoeira Angola Palmares in venues including the Nike Playoff Festival in New York City, New York's Guggenheim Museum, the Festival of Sacred Music in Greece, the Capoeira Angola Palmares International Forum in London, and most recently, on a national tour with BahiaTursa, the official tourism Agency of Bahia, Brasil.
